iPhone Privacy Settings You Should Change Today
Your iPhone collects a lot of data by default. Fortunately, Apple gives you control over what is shared. Here are the privacy settings everyone should adjust.
App Tracking Transparency
iOS requires apps to ask permission before tracking you across other apps and websites. Go to Settings > Privacy > Tracking and disable tracking for all apps, or choose which ones can track you.
Location Services
Many apps do not need your location. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and review which apps have access. Set apps to While Using instead of Always whenever possible.
Safari Privacy Settings
Safari includes strong privacy features. Enable Prevent Cross-Site Tracking, Block All Cookies, and use Private Browsing for sensitive searches. Go to Settings > Safari to configure these.
- Hide IP address: Prevent trackers from seeing your IP
- Privacy Report: See which trackers Safari has blocked
- Clear history: Remove browsing data regularly
Analytics and Sharing
Go to Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements and disable Share iPhone Analytics. This stops Apple from collecting usage data from your device.
